Just something to think about if you use a steamer or ricecooker
We use our steamer/ricecooker alot and the most obvious and convenient place to put it is on the countertop. Keep in mind that steam usually vents through the top and if it's on your counter underneath your upper cabinets, over time the steam could damage your wood cabinets. If you can try to pull the appliance far enough out to where it's not venting directly underneath your cabinets or if you have an island with nothing above it that works too.
