Thinking about riding the bus in your town to save money? Check this out!
We are all feeling the squeeze of rising gas prices and as we approach summer we will probably see them go higher. Alot of people turn to public transportation for their commute to save money, I know if I was working outside the home right now I would definitely take advantage of this option. If you are thinking about it but not sure where the closest bus stop is or how long it will take you to get to work or how much will it cost or even what is the cost of riding the bus compared to driving your car. If you live in Seattle you can get all that information here King County Metro Rider Tools, most major cities have their own website for public transportation and have all of the same tools. You can plan your trip just put in your starting address and your destination address and it will tell you what buses to take, how long it will take and how much it will cost, you can even plug in the numbers and compare the cost of driving versus taking the bus to find out if it is worth it for you. Of course there is an app for that, download the app to have all this information on your mobile device Metro App. I was really pleasantly surprised how easy they make it to get all the information, I would search for your public transportation in your town or city and take advantage of what they have to offer!
