Nothing goes to waste, get every last bit

My neighbor brought this over to show me, she's frugal like I am so she tries to get the most use out of everything she buys. There was a little bit of mustard left in this jar but she wasn't able to scrape it out so she saved it until she was ready to make some vinaigrette. So she took the mustard jar and added 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, fresh garlic and some dried herbs (you can add what ever you have). She shook really well to get every last bit of the mustard and mix all the ingredients well. How genius is that, fresh homemade mustard vinaigrette and nothing went to waste.

  1. Do the same thing with other condiments, like catsup, steak sauce. Save bottle for a short time and add liquid and stir into sauces, stews, soups, etc.

  2. I know this is so simple, I love it!
