I wish I would have known about this earlier, I would love to try this, well maybe for next year. You just need 8 weeks, whole vanilla beans and vodka, easy right! Get good quality whole beans such as Madagascar beans (I actually have some that my sister brought back from her trip to Madagascar) and good quality Vodka, find some cute little jars with tight fitting lids.
For each jar slice 3 vanilla beans down the center, careful you don't want them to release the seeds.
Place all 3 beans in the jar and fill with vodka not quite to the top.
Place lids on tightly, store in a cool dry place, give them a good shake once a week and they should be ready in 8 weeks.
